Is Santa really St. Nicholas?
Well, maybe – or maybe not. Santa doesn’t hail from any religion at all! Santa was made out of a combination of many different figures who tried to show kindness, wisdom, and build community strength. Some of these are Odin, Thor, Le Befana, Artemis, as well as Hagios Nikolaos – who became Saint Nicholas. But the next time you hear Santa Claus referred to as St. Nick, realize that they were NOT one and the same
