Did you know that Santa has a drill team? Unlike some drill teams that wear short skirts and wave flags, this drill team consists of Santas from around the country who get together to perform at designated events. Their mission statement describes themselves this way:
“Santa’s Drill Team is not a precision drill team, rather a collection of primarily grizzled old veterans who are Santas and whose mission is to bring honor, sometimes with a little humor, to those who serve, those who have served, along with our local heroes, our first responders and our teachers. The Drill Team is a public charitable organization and its primary mission lies in performing patriotic presentations in honor of our American Heroes wherever and whenever patriotic Americans may assemble. The Drill Team also serves as the Honor Guard for the Santa Claus Oath, International Santa Claus Hall of Fame and the Knights of St. Nicholas. Often the Drill Team is called upon to present their special patriotic presentations at the annual National Santa Claus Convention.”
They share the Santa Spirit and gifts of Love, Hope and Joy to all men, women and children that they have had the privilege of performing for.
